You used the word remedial which I believe is to do with students with learning difficulties, or in other words, are mentally retarded. It's not a bad word when you use it for it's actual meaning. And how is a swear word any 'worse' than any other word? They can be used in a good way to emphasise things or in a bad way to insult people.
