Review by Pierre Pienaar

Home's album "Fancy Lady Hollywood Child" is a remarkable work of music that deserves a review. The album is a reflection of the artist's talent, creativity, and passion for music.

The album consists of ten tracks, each with its unique sound and feel. The opening track, "Wander," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its dreamy, ethereal sound. The album then transitions into more upbeat tracks like "Hold" and "Falling Into Place," which showcase Home's ability to create catchy hooks and memorable melodies.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Resonance," which features a beautiful piano melody and Home's haunting vocals. The song is a testament to the artist's ability to create emotional and intimate moments in her music.

My very first live gig was watching Mott the Hoople at Carlisle Market Hall in 1972 when I was 16. Home were the support band and had me hooked from the first song.
Love this album but The Alchemist that I bought when it was first released is a classic album and still holds up well today.

One of my favourite bands of the era. I thought of them over the decades, but this is the first time I've heard their music since having the LP back then.

Had the pleasure of knowing these lads when they were recording at Rockfield Studios, we played a six a side match against them in Monmouth and then found ourselves playing a season in the London Musical Industries League as "Home"  So we travelled up to London and met up wherever the game was. Mick Stubbs was centre forward, Mick Cook a full back, Cliff and Laurie didn't get involved in league games, but Dave Skillern? did, he was co-writer on the Alchemist.  Wish I'd had a digital camera or mobile phone back then.  "Yes" was the big group name that had a team in the league.
